About the Panhandle Parks Foundation

The Panhandle Parks Foundation, a 501 (c) ( 3) organization, was established in 2003 for the purpose of acquiring park land, holding property in trust for parks and accruing funds for the development of future parks.

Our mission is to support the development of parks, open space and recreational opportunities. We are dedicated to enhancing healthy and vibrant communities in North Idaho. Panhandle Parks Foundation fulfills the vision of preserving our region's natural beauty for generations by facilitating the acquisition, support, and preservation of parks, open space and recreational facilities in Northern Idaho.

Our Foundation directors are made up of members from our community who volunteer a few hours of their time and talents each month for the enhancement of our parks. Our directors work directly with people interested in donating land for preservation and parks, and call on our partners to aid us in completing these opportunities.

The Foundation has one part time staff member to manage its administrative, communication, and marketing responsibilities.
