Skateboarding has been a big part of Coeur d'Alene's culture for more than 20 years, starting with the introduction of the downtown skate park in 1995. In 2011, a local group of skateboard and bike enthusiasts worked to raise awareness of the need for a new and improved skate park. Through this effort, funds were secured for conceptual drawings to include the new skate park into the Four Corners project.
The City of Coeur d'Alene and ignite cda supported the project in partnership with the North Idaho Skate Parks Alliance (NISPA). Panhandle Parks Foundation is the fiscal agent for NISPA. If you would like to donate to further the NISPA mission, your tax-deductible donation will help construct projects for skateboarding and bike riding for the next generation.
Construction was completed in the fall of 2018. The new skate park draws skaters from throughout the region. Check out the City of Coeur d'Alene website for more info on the skate park and an interactive map!
